Dr. Gera has immense experience as a Cancer Pathologist in treating all types of Cancer patients in leading centers in Australia. As a Professor of Medical Oncology, she is specialized in Anatomical Pathology, Histopathology. Dr Gera’s special interests include breast and endocrine pathology and cytopathology. She completed her resident training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth before entering into the Anatomical Pathology training programme, where she completed rotations in various teaching hospitals including QEII, Royal Perth Hospital, Princess Margret Hospital for Children and King Edward Memorial Hospital, as well as St John of God Pathology (now Australian Clinical Labs) in Subiaco. In addition, Dr Gera also spent part of her training at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and in Gosford NSW.
She has over 10 years of experience of satisfied patients in his field. After completing her FRCPA, Dr Gera undertook a postgraduate fellowship year at St John of God Pathology, furthering her interest in breast pathology. She then joined the department as a consultant pathologist in January 2015. She is a member of the Breast, Cytopathology and head, neck and endocrine subspecialty teams.
